About SimpleRigResetter = SRR

SimpleRigResetter is a HARDWARE which auto reboots freezed/crashed mining rigs.
No more wasting time and driving to different locations in order to reboot stupid rigs !!!
You will be also able to manage this manually by Windows application.

SimpleRigResetter Features

  • it can manage up to 8 PC rigs + extra 320 rigs with 10 Extension Boards
  • it will automatically RESET freezed/crashed rig
  • supports Windows and Linux rigs
  • Windows Tool will allow you to manage all rigs connected to it
  • we use optical transistors so each rig is isolated for safety reasons !
  • there is no power limit (watts) for rigs as we don't transfer power but only short power pins !
  • always on feature which will power on rig if it will be powered of for some reason (power loss or psu temperature protection)

How it works?

First you will need to connect SimpleRigResetter to motherboard of each rig (2 Power pins and 2 LED pins).
Then you will need to install small Agent software in windows or script in linux and set up SimpleRigResetter serial number and port that this rig is connected to.
This windows/linux agent software will send every few seconds small keepallive packets to SimpleRigResetter telling "I am allive, please dont reset me"
When SimpleRigResetter will not receive few keep allive messages within specified time (default 300 seconds) - it will turn off and turn on your rig automatically.
In my SimpleMiningOS there are special menu for enabling SRR Agent for rigs so it is even more simple :)
Beside normal reset function, there is also Long Reset function which powers down rig for more time (like 5 minutes) and then it turns it back on

FIX for problem with communicating SRRTool with SRR device:

If you have problem that SRRTool cannot connect to SRR showing another window opened message then you may want to proceed with this fix.
- you need PC on which OLD SRRTool still allow to connect to SRR
- connect to SRR via OLD SRRTool and go back to Connect tab, then click "Select file and flash SRR" and choose new downloaded file SimpleRigResetter.hex that is in zip file
- after flashing process is completed close SRRTool and go back to pc where you had problem connecting with SRR
- now run on that PC new SRRTool from zip and connection should be working fine.
