How to flash OS image to USB flash drive, SSD or HDD?
ASIC devices are supported in SimpleMining using additional agent called ASIC HUB. This agent is a basic PC computer with running with dedicated image available in download section.
One agent can suport maximum 4000 ASIC devices working in same network area. Agent collecting data (hashrates, status) from ASIC devices and send to dashboard and also fetching command actions from dashboard and execute them on ASIC devices (start, pause, settings POOLS, etc)
Remember to click "Add Rig" in Dashboard's menu for allowing addition new devices (rigs and ASIC HUBs) to be registered in your account.
ASIC HUB do not support WiFi connection. Only wired LAN access allowed.
From this point ASIC HUB should be visible in Rig List.
Configuration ASIC HUB in dashboard is very simple and just ASIC networks are needed to be configured in RigDetails. For example your network with ASIC devices is 10.0.0.0/24. You can provide such network address with such network mask. Remember that ASIC HUB must be connected to same network in case of supporting ASIC devices. Only this configuration allowed (with same network IP address) because of ARP communication requirement between ASIC HUB and ASIC devices. If in this network are ASICs and other devices than you can provide one or more subnetworks for querying only those IP ranges instead of whole IPs for better network performance. In this case be sure to not to overlap network definitions or going out of scope of phisycal local network area. Use ipcalc online tools for help with counting network masks.
After clicking Save button, your HUB will start detect all ASIC devices in your network and they should appear in Rig List. For adding new ASIC devices there is no need to click "Add Rig" on menu. ASIC HUB will automatically detect all new connected ASIC devices.
As Miner Program select this one named "ASIC", and in Options provide pools addresses with usernames and passwords and also username and password for ASIC management that will be used by ASIC HUB to communicate with. Every ASIC devices can have different usernames, that cant be renamed, and because of that there could be needing to prepare as manyGroup Configs as many different type of username/password/pools combinations do you need to have.
Next assign such Group Config to your ASICs
Warning: WhatsMiner (M30S++) have requirement to manually prepare ASIC for activating API using Windows application called WhatMinerTool. After this procedure SimpleMining can start support such ASIC devices. Short procedure is: run WhatMinerTool (on Windows PC), Make sure program detect ASIC in your network, click "Remote Ctrl" button, then select "Miner API Switch", than select "Enable" in apear popup window and click "OK" button. Detailed description is included in "Whatminer API MicroBT" documentation available on the manufacturer's website.
For now some actions for ASIC devices must be executed by hand, like start, pause. Not every case is operated directly and automatically. With ASIC devices please be sure to click such very command (Resume, Pause), and wait few minutes to observe changes for example hashrate to be sure such command was properly executed. If such ASIC is not online in this moment, HUB will try to cache such commands and run when ASIC back to online but its not guaranteed at this moment.
